Scuba Dynamics
Scuba Dynamics has vast experience behind it to be a solution to your scuba diving needs. We offer you a selection of carefully hand-chosen range of products that are of quality and value-for-money. No items are sourced from brochures or on-line shops and we fully support all that we sell in our after-sales policy.
After more than 30 years of diving in regions near and far, I have no doubt that the oceans and seas in this region provide one of the best scuba diving opportunities in the world.
The relatively clear waters, warm seas and abundance of plankton in the shallow waters of the Continental Shelf has been attracting an amazing diversity of rich marine life, both flora and fauna, for millions of years.
Nowhere else in the world has such an extensive range or proliferation of aquatic life from the smallest incandescent Nudibranch through to the staggering might of Whale sharks, Hammer Heads and Whales that pass through their waters.
Coral too has found an ideal region for propagation and healthy growth in their year round summer climate. Whilst the rest of the world continues to suffer the tragic after effects of bleaching, here in South East Asia, the coral beds continue to flourish with a diversity of type, colour and size that consistently attract divers and snorkellers from around the world to dive here.
Diver or snorkeller, experienced or novice, specialist or leisure. Whatever their interest, they are uniquely able to cater to their needs with some of the best aquatic life anywhere in the world.
Scuba Dynamics has vast experience behind it to be a solution to their scuba diving needs.
It is the wish of Scuba Dynamics to share with the current divers, and to introduce to non-divers, their passion for the wonderful world of scuba diving in the tropics and the joys and exhilaration of visiting their underwater realm here.
Scuba Dynamics has historically been organizing dive and holiday trips to various destinations in the region and further away. On group trips, a selected group leader, someone from within Scuba Dynamics, a Divemaster or Instructor, will accompany the group to the destination to assist in whatever way possible in making sure that their holiday is hassle-free.
Their commitment is to provide professionally conducted scuba diving courses, decent accommodations, safe and reliable dive operations and naturally, value for money.
Their global customer base readily testifies to this and dives regularly with us around the world.
Face Masks
The most basic & fundamental piece of equipment needed to go underwater. We offer a range of masks that cater to all ages, snorkellers and divers, with a range of prescriptive lenses for those who need the additional correction.
Snorkels
An essential piece of tubing that goes with your mask. Some are basic and simple whilst others offer desirable features to make your time on the water’s surface more comfortable.
Fins
Also known as ‘flippers’ in some circles, this is another essential piece of equipment that helps you get around in the water comfortably and efficiently. Choose between snorkelling or diving fins, full foot or open heel designs but choose something to suit your needs and comfort.
Diving Computers
In this day and age, a diving computer has become more of a necessity rather than a luxury and many divers, even those who dive rather infrequently, would opt for a computer. Naturally, diving with a computer does make life easier and it can be said, safer. Diving computers are available in many designs, configurations and for various diving applications. We, however, only carry those that are designed for sport or recreational diving and have been proven to be a reliable asset.
Books on Marine Life
Understanding and being able to identify aquatic animals in the marine environment is essential to every diver. How else better to gain this knowledge other than reading the books which experts have painfully put together? Now Scuba Dynamics has an interesting range of titles that are either very difficult or impossible to get from our local book stores. Note that our list of books are not exhaustive.
Wet Suits
Worn to protect you from the elements and considered as essential for those who are uncomfortable in the colder environments, choose from a range of ‘shorties’ or full suits to suit your needs and use them for added comfort while snorkelling or diving in cooler water environments. We do not carry cold water suits.
BCD
An essential piece of equipment for scuba diving. Used both for safety and comfort, the range is vast but we only carry affordable, reliable and ‘user-friendly’ designs for men, women and children.
Regulator Sets
Another set of essential apparatus that allows you to breathe underwater. Again, the range is vast but we carry only affordable, reliable, ‘user-friendly’ and internationally and easily serviceable systems for your safety while underwater and convenience. System comprises of a 1st stage, Primary 2nd stage, Alternate Air Source and a set of gauges. Accessories may be added on if you so choose on certain models.
Accessories
Scuba Dynamics also carry a variety and useful range of other ‘toys’, gadgets and accessories to complement your existing set up. This range changes continuously and is too vast to be listed here so make it a point to check out these items on your next visit!

Diving in Malaysia
Malaysia is home to many dive sites. Some famous and some not so. Some really good and some mediocre but dive sites are plentiful and the above map indicates their locations. Accessibility to Malaysia by air is via the capital city of Kuala Lumpur and the other major towns and cities of Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Johor Baru.
Road and rail access from Thailand and Singapore is convenient and road/rail systems are good. Note however that the South China Sea is exposed to the annual North East monsoon that blows from November to February.
Generally, the dive sites off Peninsular Malaysia’s east coast are off the islands where most offer a wide selection of accommodations, milky white sandy beaches and are easily reached. Being on the Continental Shelf, these sites are shallower than those off Sabah but offers good diving and caters to all certification and experience levels.
The sites off Sabah are the world famous Sipadan and Layang Layang islands and the other equally famous islands of Kapalai, Mabul, and Lankayan. Sipadan and Layang Layang are oceanic diving destinations whilst the others are macro havens.
Fast gaining international fame and recognition is Lankayan Island and for good reasons too. Scuba Dynamics offers pre packaged trips or customised itineraries based on your requirements to all these destinations and more on a regular basis and will be glad to get you diving here in Malaysia with us.
5 Star to no Stars and everything in between with Liveaboards, day trips from the mainland, B&B or full board, we offer it all.
